Will you, will you, will you marry me, boy?

My dress was WAY poofier. No, wait, that was the nightmare I had the night before. :)

Anyway, I'm married! It was beautiful and perfect (at least the parts people informed me of, any tragedies and disasters were hidden from me). Actually, my mom informed me this week that nothing really went wrong. No drama. Just a beautiful and perfect day. :)

I'm so excited to be married. It's wonderful. Mostly it's just nice to not have to send Matt home at the end of the evening, driving drowsily the 25 minutes to his place. He can just stay there. :)

All the people who helped to make the day happen: THANK YOU. :)

I will be posting pictures as soon as I get them back.

Also, in the last post, the song was from Perfect Strangers. Who sang the title song of this post? Hint: She is someone who Scat Cat idolizes.

If blog ideas were copyrighted....

I'd be paying royalties! Ok, I'm totally ripping this off from Iris , but I thought it was a cool idea, given what this weekend is.

It's a looking back post:

10 Years ago:

I was fifteen years old, a sophomore in high school, and going through one of the hardest times in my life. My family was stressed, my dad was ill and unable to work, I was struggling with an eating disorder, and we had just been hurt badly by a church. I kind of grew up that year. I was an honor student and a model citizen who only wanted to graduate and get a scholarship to a good college.

5 years ago:

I was 20, a junior at Emmanuel. I had made friends with some of my favorite people in the world. I wasn't sure I wanted to be a teacher. I was having a blast, going to class occasionally, and really just loving my life. The Phoebes started, and I was in the middle of one of my most memorable years of college.

1 year ago:

I had been back in the states for one day. I had an ear infection. I was still wearing my "Orange Revolution" ribbon on my purse. I wasn't sure where I'd be in a year. I was really excited about going to Athens to see my friends, particularly Matt, after not seeing them for several months.

Yesterday:

I had a day of utter laziness with my fiance. I went with him to buy a ton of house type things with some of our gift cards. It finally hit me that in a week, I'll be married.

How time flies.

Thanks for the inspiration, Iris!

Sometimes you just, get a feeling... like you need some kind of change...

Too stressed to write.

Not really.

Just busy.

I do occasionally have ridiculous nightmares and moments of "Oh no! I have to pay for ________________." Whatever that blank may be. Usually something stupid, like multiple candles for the rehearsal dinner or whatever other "real-life" irrelevant thing that is absolutely imperative in WeddingLand. :)

One week, one day. :)

I'm excited about the big reunion that will happen. :)

I'm going to go now, and enjoy my last week and day of Gainerness before I enter the realm of the Wildeboers. :)

Go, divert yourselves from whatever useful thing you should be doing right now by visiting Sitcoms Online and listening to all the theme songs you can handle.

Free cake at the reception for whoever can identify the sitcom theme from which my title for this post is derived. :)
