Woo Hoo!

I passed both sections of the Praxis II and am now eligible for certification grades P-12 in special education. Woo hoo!

I had to make a 138 to pass one of the sections, and I made a 181. I had to make a 141 to pass the other section, and I made a 192.

Yay!

Up to my elbows in Nutmeg Brown paint

Hi anyone who still reads this! :)

Sorry it's been a while. Things are crazy around here.

Isn't it funny how many of our posts start with that very same statement? When life starts happening, it just doesn't let up, does it?

Well, just to update you all on what is going on in the W household:

1. We moved. It was crazy, but it is 1/3 of the way done. By that I simply mean that we moved out of our crappy, overpriced apartment in Dawsonville. Our stuff is in storage at the church. We are "homeless" for a week or so. We're staying in an above-the-garage apartment at Matt's parents house for a few days. As soon as they fix the air in the apartment attached to the gym of our church, we will be moving in. We will stay there until we finish renovating this cute two bedroom house on church property. We will be living there for the next year and a half or so, minimum, until Matt and I finish school and buy a house of our own. The apartment is cute and would be fine for us, but the house either needed to be demo'd and hauled off or renovated. Both cost about the same, so, yeah. Side note: We are so blessed to have a generous family and church family. This will be rent-free for us. Praise God!

2. Not pregnant. Not trying to be. (I just feel obligated to put that here since we got married. Keeps people from wondering. By people, I mean family members who want grandkids. Ahem.)

3. Youth pastoring is still going well. We love our church and the people in it. I'm so glad to have a really good church experience. Lord knows I needed one!

4. I am taking a break from grad school until August. I could have done a class during the second session, but I would have probably had a heart attack or something.

5. New job starts next month. I'll be in Hall county at a school that I've heard only good things about from people who know the administration and staff well. I'll be teaching special education resource language arts to 6, 7, and 8th grades.

6. I find out tomorrow if I passed Praxis II and get certified.

7. I have the greatest husband in the world. He is wonderful and I love him. He finishes up at his current job at LM, and will be doing pastoring and school full time until he graduates in 2007.

8. I think I've lost another five lbs. this week from the moving! This puts me right at 20 lbs. since Christmas. I'm not really working on it that much right now, but I'm thinking about starting Weight Watchers soon. A lady in our church has lost 47 lbs total on it, 30 since we started in January. I am inspired!

That's all for now. Like it's not ENOUGH!!! :)
